Michael Matossian Chief Compliance Officer of the Year

Arab Bank’s Head of Regulatory Compliance Mr. Michael Matossian was named Chief Compliance Officer of the Year at Complinet’s 5th Annual Compliance Awards. This highly-acclaimed international award ceremony for the financial services compliance industry met on November 9, 2009 in London to celebrate the profession and their achievements.

Mr. Matossian received this award as part of Arab Bank’s outstanding performance and achievements in the field of regulatory compliance. During his tenure at Arab Bank to date, Mr. Matossian has continued to further develop and manage leading anti-money laundering monitoring technology tools, and to maintain Arab Bank as an industry leader within the MENA region.

Since joining Arab Bank plc in November 2005, Mr. Matossian served as EVP and Head of Regulatory Compliance with more than 25 years of experience in regulatory risk management, anti-money laundering, and compliance in both the public and private sectors.

Mr. Matossian holds the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Risk Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
