Arab Bank has signed a cooperation agreement with Rawan Association for Child Development, a non-profit charitable association that provides comprehensive therapeutic education for children aged 3 to 18 with academic and developmental learning difficulties. The agreement aims to support the association’s efforts in providing therapeutic and rehabilitation services to children, within the framework of the bank’s corporate social responsibility programme, “Together”, which gives particular support to impactful community initiatives and enhancing services delivered to the most vulnerable groups.

Under the agreement, Arab Bank will cover the costs of treatment and rehabilitation for 20 children from low-income families over the course of a full year, ensuring their access to these essential services to address learning difficulties, speech disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This support reflects the bank’s commitment to improving children’s quality of life and empowering them to develop their abilities and integrate effectively into society, particularly in light of the economic challenges that may prevent some families from continuing their children’s treatment.

In this context, Dr. Jamal Hurani, Arab Bank's Palestine Country Manager, stated that this agreement aligns with the bank’s vision to support and care for underprivileged segments of society. It also aims to strengthen the role of specialised community institutions that provide social and rehabilitation services contributing to building a better future for children with special educational needs.

For his part, Engineer Nabil Damra, Chairman of the Board of Rawan Association for Child Development, expressed his appreciation for Arab Bank’s support, noting that this collaboration will significantly enhance the services offered to children with academic and developmental learning difficulties and provide a supportive environment that fosters their integration and progress across various aspects of life.

Arab Bank Signs Cooperation Agreement with Rawan Association for Child Development

Arab Bank signed a cooperation agreement with the Businesswomen Forum to support and develop sustainable women-led projects. This initiative reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to reinforcing women empowerment programmes and strengthening their active contribution to economic and social development. Through this partnership, the bank will support initiatives that build the capacity of businesswomen, and foster an enabling business environment that enhances the sustainability of their projects, and strengthens women’s role as key partners in driving economic growth.

Under the agreement, Arab Bank will provide financial and technical support to help the development of 30 women-led entrepreneurial projects. The partnership will also include specialised training programmes and consultancy services in entrepreneurship and financial management. These initiatives aim to strengthen participants’ leadership and managerial skills, enabling them to grow their businesses in line with best professional practices and ensure long-term sustainability.

Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Jamal Hurani, Arab Bank's Palestine Country Manager, said: “This partnership reflects the bank’s vision of empowering women and enhancing their contribution to economic development.” He added: “Supporting women-led entrepreneurial initiatives creates broader opportunities for women to participate across different sectors, directly contributing to job creation and strengthening economic and social stability.”

Arab Bank Signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Business Women Forum to Support Women Empowerment Programmes

Arab Bank honoured its volunteers as part of its corporate social responsibility programme “Together” during its annual appreciation ceremony; held in recognition of their outstanding efforts and active contribution to serving the local community. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Jamal Hurani, Arab Bank's Palestine Country Manager, along with several division and department managers and employees.

During the ceremony, the bank honoured the volunteers who took part throughout the year in various activities and initiatives aimed at serving the local community in many areas, including health, environmental protection, poverty alleviation, education, orphan support, and women empowerment. The honoured employees expressed their appreciation for the recognition they received, which serves as a strong motivation to continue volunteering and dedicating their time and efforts to support community initiatives, and strengthen their role in fostering social solidarity and humanitarian impact.

In 2025, “Together” programme has witnessed significant growth, with a notable increase in both the number of volunteers and beneficiaries, underscoring the bank's ongoing commitment to community support and the achievement of sustainable development goals. The programme has generated a clear positive impact on local communities across various governorates, while also contributing to the development of employees’ skills and reinforcing values of citizenship, cooperation, and teamwork among them.

Arab Bank’s volunteers carried out a total of 31 initiatives in 2025, with the participation of more than 288 employees across various divisions, departments, and branches of the Bank in Palestine, with a total of 477 volunteer participations amounting to approximately 1,194 volunteer hours, reaching over 900,000 beneficiaries through the bank’s support of various community and sustainability-related initiatives.

Arab Bank Honours Volunteers of Its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme “Together”

As part of its strategic commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) sustainability standards, and in line with its ongoing efforts in sustainable financing across Palestine, Arab Bank announced the full financing of the “Noor Tubas” solar power project; located in the Governorate of Tubas and Northern Valleys. The financing covered all stages of the project, from inception through to full operations generating capacity of 24 megawatts, establishing it as the largest solar power plant of its kind in Palestine.  

The announcement coincided with the official inauguration of the plant, which was held in the presence of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, and His Excellency Engineer Ayman Ismail, the Chairman of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority, alongside a number of Ministers and representatives from the public and private sectors, and the farming community. Official speeches underscored the strategic significance of this vital project and highlighted Arab Bank’s pivotal role as a key financing partner since the project’s launch, reflecting its confidence throughout all stages until it became an operational national project serving the community and the national economy.

Commenting on the project, Dr. Jamal Hourani, Arab Bank’s Palestine Country Manager, said: “We are proud to have financed “Noor Tubas” project from its early stages, as it represents a leading example of large-scale green financing projects aligned with the bank’s commitment to ESG standards. We believe that the role of the banking sector extends beyond traditional financing to empowering strategic projects that deliver sustainable impact on economic, social and environmental levels. This also safeguards energy, supports farmers and benefits local communities.”

Dr. Hourani added that the project reflects Arab Bank’s belief that national projects are capable of driving sustainable change, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to expanding its sustainable finance portfolio and continuing to support renewable energy initiatives and green infrastructure projects, thereby accelerating the transition towards a green economy.

The founders and owners of “Noor Tubas” project expressed their appreciation for Arab Bank’s trust in this key investment from its early stages. They noted that the financing provided by Arab Bank was a decisive factor in transforming the idea into a leading national project that serves farmers, promotes sustainability and contributes to reducing agricultural production costs

Arab Bank Finances the Construction of the Largest Solar Power Plant in Palestine with Capacity of 24 MW as Part of its Sustainable Finance Commitment

Arab Bank has recently launched a new promotional campaign targeting both existing and new Arab Bank credit cardholders, under the title “Your Year is on Us”, offering a range of valuable prizes and benefits. The campaign aligns with the bank’s strategy to enhance digital banking services and elevate the cardholders’ experience when using Arab Bank credit cards for purchases and payments through various channels, to meet different spending patterns.

The launch of the campaign coincides with the beginning of the New Year, reflecting Arab bank’s focus on addressing customers’ diverse needs and aspirations, including shopping, travel, paying tuition fees and settling various bills. It enables cardholders to make secure and seamless electronic payments using their credit cards, whether locally, internationally or via online shopping platforms. The campaign also gives customers the opportunity to benefit from exclusive offers and privileges, adding further value to their banking experience.

The campaign includes a draw for 60 prizes throughout the campaign period, which runs until the end of 2026, with five winners selected each month. Each winner will receive 100% cashback capped at USD500, when using their Arab Bank credit card for purchases totaling USD200 or more. The campaign also features a draw for three grand prizes at the end of the campaign; each valued at USD 20,000, for customers whose total credit card spending reaches USD1,000 or more during the campaign period.
